To honor his 25 years of service to UNC Charlotte, the university named the road running behind Duke Centennial Hall and Grigg Hall for retired Dean of Engineering Robert D. Snyder.

The dedication of Synder Road was held on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009. Speaking at the event were UNC Charlotte Chancellor Philip Dubois, current Engineering Dean Bob Johnson, and former Dean Synder.

A number of current and retired faculty and staff, along with Dr. Snyder’s family, attended the event to congratulate the former Dean.
