Jan. 5, 2012 Eighteen Lee College of Engineering students earned MAPS Scholars status in December. The Scholars initiative is sponsored by the college’s Maximizing Academic and Professional Success (MAPS) program. The MAPS Scholars program recognizes students who actively participated in MAPS transition coaching, completed a minimum of two scholars workshops, and earned a 3.0 semester GPA. In the fall, only 15 percent of students who regularly attended transition coaching sessions achieved the MAPS Scholar distinction.
