Hargrove, Jordan Join OSDS

The Office of Student Development and Success in The William States Lee College of Engineering welcomes two new members for the spring 2012 semester.

MS Biological and Agricultural Engineering, North Carolina State University, 1994

Linda Hargrove comes to OSDS from the private sector, where she owned and operated a web consulting business. Previously she worked as an environmental engineer for the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Ms. Hargrove’s background encompasses both nonpoint source pollution management and aquacultural wastewater treatment. She is teaching Introduction to Engineering 1201 and is advising freshman engineering students.

Research interests:

  • Nonpoint source pollution management practices
  • Biological treatment and management of wastewater
  • Intensive aquacultural engineering

 

Terry Jordon small

MS in Mechanical Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology, 1976

Terry Jordan comes to OSDS after years of teaching physics at Charlotte Catholic High School. Prior to teaching he spent more than 30 years in the electric power industry. In the power industry, Mr. Jordan was involved in the design, construction and operation of power plants. In his most recent position at Cogentrix Energy he was responsible for all mechanical engineering aspects of power plants from initial conception to operation. He is teaching Introduction to Engineering 1201 and is advising freshman engineering students.
