Many user's find that the experience could be slow when using interactive engineering applications such as AutoCAD. Here are some tips that can assist with making this experience more pleasurable:
- Have your computer set in "High Performance" mode. This feature is available under the power options for your computer.
- Make sure your wireless card driver is up to date. This is key as many patches could fix possible issues that could cause your wireless connection to slow down.
- Some users have smartphones that can act as a mobile wireless hotspot or access point. If you have this feature on while using a separate connection you may find that the cell phone's signal interferes with the wireless signal.
- If you are purchasing a new laptop, be sure that it has a dual band "N" standard wireless card. This will greatly improve your wireless connection in the newer engineering buildings and in other hotspots.
