Changing the AFS Server List Print

Changing the AFS Server List in OpenAFS for Mosaic

Sometimes you may need to update the list of AFS servers we operate for Mosaic/Engineering Computing at UNC Charlotte.

afs01

If you configured OpenAFS to start automatically when you login then you should see the padlock icon in the right corner of your screen.

afs02

If you don't see the lock icon navigate down through your menu system and start the AFS service.

afs03

Double clicking on the lock icon will bring up the AFS Client window.

afs04

Clicking on the "Advanced" gives you the above window. From here choose "Configure AFS client" then "AFS Cells".

afs05

afs06

Now highlight UNCC and choose "Change" to get the window on the below, left.

afs08

Using the "Add", "Change", or "Remove" buttons edit your server list to look like the list on the above left. (Using the "Look up address automatically" option will fill in the server address for you.) When you are finished close all the boxes using the "OK" button and you are done!
