As you see, precision engineering is all around you, regardless of you are an engineer or not, you find yourself need to measure physical quantities. Thus, our members are allover the UNCC campus, they can be students at mechanical engineering, physics and optical science, computer science, electronics and electrical engineering, and information technology.

The ASPE Student Chapter at UNCC is a graduate organization hosted at Duke the Centennial building. We are sponsored by two main frames in the world of precision engineering; the Center for Precision Metrology (CPM) , which is the first in rank internationally, and theAmerican Society For Precision Engineering (ASPE), which is a worldwide pioneer in this field. Our activities are so wide and expanding, covering academic, professional, social, and even sport activities.
Long time ago, the industrial firms start to check your leadership and teamwork capabilities not just your GPA. The ASPE Student Chapter at UNCC provides you the opportunity of leadership. We have many committees you can join and you can be a part of our management board. This will be a win-win membership.

The ASPE Student Chapter at UNCC is one of the most active groups at UNCC, we do make the academic and research life enjoyable and we do every thing possible to provide our members with ultimate benefits they can get from the university. We try to share in as much social activities and we share in every possible community service events. Also we share in the UNC Charlotte  intramrurals competitions.

The ASPE also provides oppertunities for our members to win scholarships. Every year we have three scholarships , you can win up to $1000 when you submit your abstract to the ASPE scholarship committee.
