Welcome to the UNCC SAE Mini Baja team page. The Baja SAE Series is an intercollegiate competition series, where students design and build a car from the ground up except for the engine. The engine is a ten horsepower Briggs and Stratton that cannot be altered.
The competition includes a design evaluation, acceleration test, land maneuverability, sled pull, suspension and traction test, and a four hour endurance race. Last year the team competed in Kansas and finished 38th out of 87 cars. In 2012 our goal is to finish in the top ten overall.
We are seeking sponsorship for the 2012 competition in Wisconsin. Be sure to visit our partners page and see who supports our top notch operation. We are a non-profit organization, meaning that all sponsorship is tax deductible. If you would like further information about the team or would be interested in adding your company’s name to our growing list of sponsors, please contact us at: jfblackl@uncc.edu
