Antivirus
UNC Charlotte offers a free license for Trend Micro Antivirus for Windows Platforms and Symantec Antivirus for OSX systems here.  PCS has setup a user guide that can be found here.
Microsoft Security Essentials Microsoft has released a frre antivirus for all computers with a genuine copy of Windows installed here.  PCS has set up a user guide that can be found here.
Malwarebytes
Free utility to remove all types of malware (Malicious Software). It is available here.
CCleaner CCleaner is a general computer care software we use to eliminate temporary files, fix registry errors and generally fix small problems to speed up a computer.  It is located here.
WinSCP Open-source secure file transfer (FTP) and SCP utility. Useful for transferring files between your computer and your UNC Charlotte accounts through an encrypted connection. Available here.
PuTTY Open-source telnet and secure shell (ssh) client. Useful for command-line connections to Engineering Computing's Linux server. Encrypts your connection for privacy. Available here.
OpenAFS Client Open-source client that allows you to access files in your Engineering Computing account from anywhere that you have a good connection to the internet. Requires installation of Kerberos for Windows. See our article here.
