| Math Placement Test |

Engineering students must take the Math Placement Test administered at SOAR if ANY of the following applies: 1. Not transferring in a college-level math course. 2. Bringing in a college-level math course lower than pre-calculus. (i.e. Math 175) 3. It has been more than several years since taking a pre-calculus or calculus course. (i.e. Math 175 or Math 271) If any of the above applies to you, please take the on-line practice test before attending SOAR: Practice Math Placement Test NOTE: Scores of 18 or better out of 25 questions will place a student into calculus. This is where all first-semester engineering students begin their math sequence. Scores of 14 to 17 will place a student into Math 1103 (pre-Calculus). Scores below 14 will place a student into Math 1100 (college algebra). |
