Week of Monday August 23, 2004
  • Welcome to ECE 3183!  The first day of class is Monday, August 23.
  • The book, Introduction to Computing Systems by Patt/Patel will be used in this class.  Obtain a copy from the bookstore or purchase it online.  Make sure to get the Second edition.
  • This class will be based heavily on the web pages.  For example:
  • There will be a few "lab" exercises to practice the concepts learned in class.  The class LC-3 simulator for lab assignments can be downloaded from the book's support website.
  • Homework 1 is available, and due Friday, August 27, 2003.  It's simple - just based on the syllabus, class discussions, and the first book chapter.
  • Due to the university holiday, there is no class on Monday, September 6.
